What’s happening at Conkers this summer as theme weeks return

A series of themed weeks return to Conkers this summer holiday, promising “exciting activities, shows and events for the whole family”. The award-winning Leicestershire attraction kicked off its program of themed events earlier this week.

Based in the heart of the National Forest near Moira, it offers a mix of indoor and outdoor experiences across 120 acres of mature woodland, lakes, ponds, play areas and an 18 stage assault challenge. Starting yesterday (Monday, July 15) was Pirate and Princess Week.

A Conkers spokesperson said: “Get ready to welcome Flip and Dippy as they bring back their Superhero Show, Pirate and Princess Show, Mad Game Show and more! Each themed week promises to be a fun and enjoyable experience for all ages, full of exciting activities and memorable adventures.”

The list of thematic weeks is as follows:

JULY 15-19 – WEEK OF PIRATES AND PRINCESSES

JULY 22-26 – CONKERS MAD FUN WEEK

JULY 29 – AUGUST 2 – MINI BEAST MAYHEM WEEK

AUGUST 5-9 – SUPERHERO WEEK

AUGUST 12-16 – CONKERS MAD FUN WEEK

AUGUST 19-23 – CONKERS MYTHICAL AND MAGICAL ANIMALS WEEK

AUGUST 26-30 – DINOSAUR WEEK

Also included in the price of admission are the Conkachoo train rides, The Fairy Labyrinth, Ranger activities and The Warrens, with 70 meters of underground tunnels. Other activities can be booked at an additional cost, such as kata canoeing and archery.

There are also a number of indoor events at Conkers for the family to get stuck into. A Conkers spokesperson added: “Inside, a British forest has over 100 interactive indoor exhibits in four seasonal areas or visitors can experience the Enchanted Forest by climbing through the treetops and along the ropeways .”
