‘Ultimate’ summer beach and fun fair near Coventry returns for families to enjoy

A beach and funfair near Coventry is now open for the summer holidays so families can enjoy a fun day out. Birmingham Beach and Funfair is back in Birmingham city center featuring a splash pool, bar, funfair rides and a sandy beach with sunbeds.

Summer Beach will be at Smithfields until Monday 26th August and is once again brought to you by Danter Attractions, the people behind Ice Skate Birmingham and the Christmas Big Wheel. And to make it even better, admission to the beach and fun fair is free.

Visitors can also enjoy a range of street food vendors from a mud area, sweets, coffee and more, as well as fun and games with prizes on offer. There will also be bungee trampolines, inflatables and beach buggies, BirminghamLive reports.

A spokesperson for Danter Attractions said: “Shommers and thrill-seekers will be able to experience the ultimate summer event full of excitement and fun for all ages. The fair will be open daily from 14:00 to 22:00, offering free entry to everyone.

“This year all your favorite attractions are back and with new thrill rides added to ensure a memorable summer experience. Don’t miss the summer event!

“Bring your family and friends to Birmingham Beach and Smithfields Fun Fair for a day full of laughs, thrills and unforgettable memories.”

As well as the splash pool, beach, bar and street food vendors, there will be a range of family fun rides such as Helter Skelter, Pirate Ship, Super Bob, Dodgems, Waltzer, Apple Roller Coaster, Giant Slide, 55 .Meter Starflyer, Jungle Paratroopers, Typhoon Orbitter, Water Boats, Mini Bumpers, Giant Balloon Ride and Roller Coaster Runaway Train.

The Cathedral Square Ferris Wheel in the grounds of Birmingham Cathedral on Colmore Row by Danter Attractions is also open until September 1.

The beach is located at Smithfields which is behind the Bullring and St Martins Square. The postcode is: B5 6HX which takes 40 minutes from Coventry via the A45. Or you can take the train to Birmingham New Street and walk from New Street which takes about 10 minutes.
