The Chipping Sodbury comedy event includes Live at the Apollo and Mock the Week shows

A local comedy festival will feature TV comedians from shows including Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Have I Got News For You, Comedy Central and 8 out of 10 Cats face Countdown, to name a few.

Chipping Sodbury’s ‘Live at the Town Hall’ will see three nights of comedy shows, with two comedians a night performing in the community venue in the South Gloucestershire town ahead of their stints at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.




The Chipping Sodbury event will run from July 24-27 and tickets are priced at £20 each. You can book it on SodburyComedy.co.uk.

The full line-up includes Jo Caulfield, Susie McCabe, Larry Dean, Shenoah Allen, Jack Skipper, Angela Barnes, Ignacio Lopez and Finlay Christie. Organizer James Murden said he can’t wait to give locals a look at some of the new work by some of the country’s much-loved comedy figures.

He said: “I’ve always loved live comedy. Life can be a little dreary and dreary right now, so it’s great to forget your troubles and have a few hours of belly laughs. Plus, it’s right on our doorstep.

“Our talent includes stars from Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Have I Got News For You, Comedy Central, 8 out of 10 Cats do Countdown and more.”
