Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital following serious crash in Wiltshire

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital following a serious crash in Wiltshire.

Emergency services were called to Marlborough Road in Everleigh, five miles south of Pewsey, at around 1.30pm this afternoon (Friday).

Paramedics from Wiltshire Air Ambulance were among 999 crews at the scene providing emergency care.

A motorcyclist suffered a significant leg injury and was airlifted to Southmead Hospital, a Major Trauma Centre, for treatment.

The road is closed in both directions.

Wiltshire Police said the incident happened near Summerdown Farm and they are appealing for witnesses.
