The Yorkshire city is looking for the girls and boys doubles in the national youth competition

Bradford will face Wembley in the MCC Foundation Lord’s final

Bradford will bid to win the double when the MCC Foundation National Hub final takes place at Lord’s tomorrow.

The day is the culmination of the annual competition run alongside MCCF’s flagship National Hub programme, which provides free access to training and matches for 4,700 state-educated boys and girls in 126 hubs across the country.

This year, hubs Bradford and Wembley reached the final of the boys’ competition, while Bradford and Guildford reached the girls’ final.

The Wembley center will make his Lord’s debut as the Bradford boys look for redemption after last year’s final defeat to Reading.

Girls’ champions Guildford are finalists for the third year in a row, while Bradford’s girls return to the final for the first time since their 2021 victory.

Heather Knight, England Women’s captain and MCC Foundation Ambassador, said: “I am delighted to be an ambassador for the MCC Foundation.

“I have admired the work MCCF has done from afar, so jumped at the chance to support such a brilliant cause.

“Cricket has given me so many amazing experiences and taught me so many life lessons, so I’m looking forward to giving a bit back and helping young people develop a similar love for the game all over throughout life.”
