Man taken to hospital after being assaulted at a Teddington pub on the night of the Euro final

A man was taken to hospital after an attack at a Teddington pub on the night of the Euro final.

Police were called to High Street, Teddington, at around 12.40pm on Monday 15 July.

At the scene, they found a man with facial injuries that were not believed to be serious.

The man was assaulted by another person in a pub in the area where he was socializing.

There were no arrests.

An investigation has been launched and investigations are ongoing.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at around 00:40 on Monday 15 July to High Street, Teddington, to reports of an assault.

“Officers attended the scene and found a man suffering from facial injuries.

“He was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be serious.

“It is understood that the man was assaulted by another person at the pub where he was socializing.

“An investigation has been launched by local CID officers and inquiries are ongoing.

“There have been no arrests.”
