Bradford food manufacturer is buying a dessert firm which once featured on the hit BBC show

A BRADFORD food manufacturer has acquired an exciting dessert firm which once featured on a hit BBC show.

Regal Food Products Group is set to boost its offering after winning Love Cheesecakes.

Based in Lancaster, the company specializes in handcrafting over 100 premium cheesecakes for the wholesale, foodservice and hospitality sectors.

The bakery also sells direct to consumers through event catering, participating in festivals and other large outdoor events.

In 2020, Love Cheesecakes appeared on Dragons’ Den, which gave them a step up the online ladder.

The bakery now also has a strong online presence through several e-commerce platforms where it operates.

With a strong focus on gifts, the service allows customers to indulge in desserts at their doorstep.

Since acquiring Just Desserts Yorkshire in 2022 and more recently Love Handmade Cakes, Regal Group has strategically focused on growing and developing its dessert range in the foodservice and wholesale market.

Regal Foods Products specializes in global food bakery and confectionery products and owns brands including Yorkshire Baking Company and Just Desserts Yorkshire.

Earlier this year the group bought the former Folding Sliding Door (FSD) business on Hopbine Lane in West Bowling.

Employing over 300 people and generating a turnover of £32m, the company currently operates from six sites in Bradford.
