Leicester and West Ham have been in talks with the club for the player for days – with Ipswich and Nottingham Forest also keen

AC Milan have been ‘talking for days’ to Leicester City and West Ham over a deal for winger Alexis Saelemaekers, but Ipswich and Nottingham are in the mix.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who report that Milan are keen to move the player on, with Leicester and West Ham reportedly happy to take him.

They explain that while Saelemaekers is considered a “golden boy” by Milan, where he is well-loved and has never pulled a toe or caused any controversy, the truth is that he is not part of their plans to to move on.

The hope was that they could sell him to Bologna, but that is not on the cards and so they are now looking at other options, Leicester being one of them.

Although Milan are in no rush to sell at the moment, they have been “talking for days” with various parties, notably Leicester and West Ham.

According to CM, the player’s most likely destination at the moment is the Premier League, as Leicester and West Ham have already opened talks, while Ipswich and Nottingham Forest are “also in the background”.

The feeling is that offers from any of those clubs could arrive early next week, although it is unclear whether they believe they will be the clubs to open talks or if Ipswich and Nottingham Forest will also do so.

Either way, the four are in the mix and Saelemaekers look destined to reach the Premier League this summer.
