In Coventry, 12,000 people visited the exhibition

COLLECTING Coventry saw 12,000 people visit the exhibition which tells the story of Coventry through 75 years worth of collections.

The exhibition was at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum and represents the diversity of the collections it has.

The venue has created discussion and feedback points where visitors’ views can be gathered on what should be collected and how communities can be better represented.

Ali Wells, a Herbert curator involved in putting together the exhibition, said: “We are delighted with how popular Collecting Coventry has proved so far.

“We really wanted to use this exhibition not only to represent our collections but also to represent Coventry and its communities – so it’s really encouraging to see how well it’s been received.”
