Blackburn Rovers are still battling to offload the Leeds United star

The experienced centre-back has a contract offer on the table at Elland Road but is yet to sign it.

Blackburn would like to bring in Cooper, however they are only willing to give him a one-year deal to do so.

The Leeds man would like a longer deal and has scuppered negotiations.

The situation has not changed and Blackburn are still struggling to land the Scotland international defender.

If they can’t get an attack for Cooper over the line, then they could look at another free agent in the form of Danny Batth.

Rovers boss John Eustace wants experience at the heart of his defense for next season.

Leeds have already lost a player out of contract, then made a bid this summer with Jamie Shackleton turning down new terms to head to Sheffield United.
