Tui cancels number of flights from Manchester Airport today

Tui has been forced to cancel several flights from Manchester Airport today, July 21, as it continues to deal with the knock-on effects of the global IT outage which occurred on Friday. Thousands of flights were canceled across the globe while many more were delayed as airports were forced to do check-in and boarding manually.

According to Aviation data analysts Cirium, a total of 6,855 flights were canceled across the world on Friday, equating to 6.2 percent of all scheduled flights. In the UK, 207 flights were canceled departing from the country – 6.7 per cent of all scheduled flights, with a further 201 inbound arrivals cancelled.
