Benny Bass, Kerri Giles arrested in connection with drug dealing in Sheffield

SHEFFIELD, Ala. (WAFF) – Two people were arrested in connection with drug trafficking in Colbert County Friday morning.

According to the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was served at a home on 13th Avenue in Sheffield. At the home, deputies said 40 grams of methamphetamine, a .22-caliber shotgun and $388 were found.

Officials said Benny Ray Bass, 54, of Sheffield, and Kerri Elaine Giles, 48, also of Sheffield, were arrested for drug trafficking.

Bass and Giles were booked into the Colbert County Jail.

Both were released from jail on Saturday, Bass at 1:54 and Giles at 1:58
