Commuters suffer rush hour chaos with disruptions throughout the day on Euston, Watford and Clapham Junction trains

Commuters are facing rail chaos during the Monday evening rush hour, with trains to and from Euston and other major London stations set to be disrupted until the end of the day.

Travel chaos caused by damaged overhead cables has affected services between London Euston, Clapham Junction and Watford Junction throughout the morning.

Trains may be canceled or delayed by up to 45 minutes, National Rail has warned commuters.

These include services between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly, which run at 1pm and 35pm, which have been canceled for the rest of Monday.

Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway and Southern services are affected.

On the Tube, the Piccadilly line was suspended for hours on Monday morning between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to a point failure. It remained suspended around noon.

There were also severe delays on London Overground while TfL staff helped a sick person on board a train at Whitechapel.

Commuter chaos continues into the evening rush hour at Euston

Trains to and from Euston continue to be disrupted during the evening rush hour.

There were problems throughout the day due to a signaling problem at Watford. A statement from the rial network on X said: “Our engineers are on site and working to fix the problem.” Commuters are asked to check http://nationalrail.co. UK for the latest travel information A statement added: “We are very sorry for the passengers affected.”

Disruption between London Paddington and Reading

Lines have now reopened following an earlier access incident between London Paddington and Maidenhead.

Trains running between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 25 minutes or revised.

There is a speed restriction on the fault line between London Paddington and Acton Main Line. Trains may still be delayed by up to 35 minutes, canceled or revised.

This is expected by 7pm, National Rail said.

Suspended tubes

Elizabeth Line: Severe delays between Paddington and Reading / Heathrow Airport and minor delays between Abbey Wood and Paddington while TfL repairs a track fault at Paddington.

Piccadilly Line: No service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to a points error at Uxbridge.

Rush hour disruption at London Euston

Damage to overhead cables between London Euston / Clapham Junction and Watford Junction means some lines are blocked as commuters return home.

Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway and Southern Trains running between these stations will be delayed by up to 45 minutes or cancelled.

Minor delays on the Elizabeth and Central lines

There are now minor delays on the Elizabeth and Central lines, on which the Piccadilly line remains partially suspended, as it has been for much of the day.

There is a good service on all other lines, TfL says.

Trains cannot run on one side of the Piccadilly line

There is currently no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge on the Piccadilly line due to a point failure at Uxbridge.

Commuter chaos was expected this evening as the Euston disruption will now last all day

Continued disruption to trains to and from Euston, Clapham Junction and Watford Junction is now set to last until the end of the day, National Rail says.

Unfortunately, it’s bound to spell bad news for commuters during the evening rush hour.

Southern trains cannot run between Shepherds Bush and Watford Junction “until further notice”.

Meanwhile, some trains between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly were canceled until the end of the day.

National Rail warns that other services may be canceled or delayed by up to 45 minutes.

London Overground hit by severe delays

There are severe delays on London Overground as TfL staff help a person who fell on board a train at Whitechapel.

Delays affect services between West Croydon and Highbury & Islington/Clapham Junction/Crystal Palace/New Cross.

Disruption to and from West Croydon is expected until 10am

A fault in the signaling system at West Croydon means trains are having to run at reduced speeds on some lines to London, National Rail says.

Trains running to/from the station may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

The interruption is expected until 10 o’clock.

London Overground services between Highbury & Islington and West Croydon are affected.

Southbound trains between London Victoria and West Croydon/Epsom Downs/Epsom are also affected.

Metropolitan Line delays end

Now there are no delays on the Metropolitan Line -. A good service runs across the line, says TfL.

Minor delays persist on the Central Line, while the Piccadilly Line remains partially suspended.

Minor delays on the Central and Metropolitan lines

Good news for commuters, previous severe delays on the Metropolitan line have now been downgraded to minor.

Delays are affecting the stretch between Wembley Park and Aldgate.

There are also minor delyas on the central line between Leytonstone and Epping/Hainault.

The Piccadilly line remains suspended in north-west London between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge.
