Building update for Knowl Park House June 2024

The new dementia day care facilities at House of Knowledge Park in the Mirfield I am in the final stage. Several additions and progress have been made since the last build progress update.

Since then, the exterior of the building is in the process of having a new fascia installed.

Contractors paved the new south parking lot and also created a path to the parking lot. In keeping with the cleaner and greener agenda, the parking lot includes EV chargers, which have been installed. The entrance road to the parking lot is currently being built.

The work on the final mechanical and electrical repair is ongoing, the final repair refers to all the elements that can be seen in the finished building and includes elements such as sockets, switches, lighting fixtures. As part of it, the sanitary ware was installed.

Furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) and kitchens are now being fitted. Flooring and vinyl was also installed in the wet areas.

What’s next?

Contractors will finish the hard landscaping of the new yard and begin work on the soft landscaping. Work on the new fascias and the installation of the soffits will be completed. Outdoor lighting will also be installed, and the new paths will be paved.

New doors and finished ceilings will go up inside the building, and painting and decorating work continues.
