Major emergency response to accidental truck fire in Birmingham

About fifty firefighters and ten engines were called to the scene

A major emergency response has been declared following a multi-vehicle fire at an industrial park in Birmingham.

Officers were first alerted to the ongoing incident at Seeleys Park shortly after 12.30pm in the early hours of Sunday (July 21).

When responders arrived at the scene on Seeleys Road in the Tyseley area of ​​the city, they found several trucks engulfed in flames.

The force said around ten fire engines and fifty firefighters were called to the scene to help put out the blaze.

A number of local fire stations responded to the fire to create a collaborative effort to help extinguish the flames.

According to the service, the incident took place at a transport and logistics center and the fire was contained before it spread to a nearby factory unit.

However, in the middle of the fire, four trucks were destroyed in the fire, which was officially extinguished by 2:40 am.

West Midlands Fire Service confirmed that the last of their officers had cleared the area just before 10am.

After conducting the first investigations, the police said that the fire started accidentally and was treated as such.
