The Matildas land in Paris days after their first Olympic clash with Germany

The Matildas landed in Paris just days after their first Olympic battle, but they were not immune to Friday’s global IT crisis, despite traveling on a chartered flight.

Paris Olympic organizers said the IT chaos affected their accreditation systems, their uniform distribution and other minor things.

However, the major impact was in flight disruptions, with 31,000 flights delayed and 4,000 cancelled.

In total, around 6.5 million passengers and Olympians were caught up in the drama, including the Matildas.

The Matildas flew into Marseille and despite having their own private charter plane to take them there, they were delayed by 90 minutes by a raised eyebrow. But their uniforms were not on the plane with them.

Coach Tony Gustavsson defended the private jet expense, saying it was necessary and necessary.
