Manhunt for bearded man launched after car boot sale attack

Details of a man police seek have been announced as a manhunt was launched after a car boot sale attack left a victim with a bleed on the brain. Detectives are searching for a man who they say may have been around at the time of the assault at the EBoot Market & Car Boots in Lea Marston, North Warwickshire on Sunday.

A 42-year-old man was left with a bleed on the brain after being punched in an alleged dispute over the sale of a car roof box. As investigations continue, officers have revealed the details of a man they want to find.



He has been described as a white male aged between 20 and 30 years old and approximately 5ft 9ins tall. He was of a muscular build with a big red-colored beard and a sleeve-style tattoo on his left arm.

He was wearing a black Nike hat with white logo, a white t-short, black jeans, and white shoes, and would have been carrying a large black car roof box. “Witnesses say he spoke with an eastern European accent,” said a Warwickshire Police spokesperson.

“If you were at the car boot sale on May 12 in the morning around 8 to 9am and believe you can help us identify this individual or have camera footage of them, please contact us.”

Anyone who recognizes the man or who has any information should call 101, quoting incident number 108 of May 12 or report via the police website here. Information can also be passed on to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously via their website or on 0800 555 111.
