Maresca wants to sign Hermansen?

In accordance with Daily mailthe Midlands Correspondent Tom CollomosseMaresca is a ‘great admirer’ of the Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.

However, Collomosse says it is unclear whether the Italian’s admiration for the 24-year-old “will develop into something more solid”.

As things stand, Leicester are said to value Hermansen at around £45m, just 12 months after signing the Danish goalkeeper from Brondby for just £5m.

Hermansen was signed by Leicester under Maresca following the club’s relegation from the Premier League and quickly established himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper ahead of him. Danny Ward and Daniel Iversen.

The Odense prop kept 13 clean sheets in 44 league appearances for the Foxes, playing a key role in the club’s title-winning campaign.

What does the future hold for Sanchez, Petrovic?

Maresca Hermansen’s interest seemingly casts further doubt over Chelsea’s goalkeepers future Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic.

BBC Sport claims that Petrovic was offered Genoabut the 24-year-old is currently considered out of the Serie A club’s price range.

Petrovic joined Chelsea last summer for around £14m from New England Revolution and benefited from Sanchez’s long-term injury in the second half of last season to make 23 Premier League appearances in 2023-24 .

Sanchez, meanwhile, was originally signed by Chelsea to become their number one goalkeeper and started 16 Premier League games before missing the final five-and-a-half months of the season.

As things stand, Sanchez is understood to be set to stay at Chelsea and fight for a potential new signing to begin with, while Petrovic could be moved on if a new face is brought in at Stamford Bridge.
