West Ham have reportedly made a bid for Leeds star Crysencio Summerville.

According to Fabrizio Romano, a deal is not close, with the winger considered “very expensive”.

The Hammers have also held talks with the 22-year-old over a potential move.

Roma are also monitoring Summerville but will only pursue a deal if they fail to sign Matias Soule from Juventus. Leicester are also interested in Soule, who is valued at £34m.

Summerville has two years left on his current deal at Leeds.

Summerville, who was capped by Holland at Under-21 level, signed for Leeds from Feyenoord in September 2020.

Since then Summerville has made 89 appearances and scored 25 goals while providing 12 assists. 20 of those goals came in the league last season.

Brighton asked about Summerville last month. Summerville was named Championship Player of the Season last year as he frequently impressed despite Leeds missing out on promotion.

West Ham, now managed by Julen Lopetegui, have made three major signings so far this transfer window.

Exciting youngster Luis Guilherme has joined the club from Palmeiras, while goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has arrived on a free transfer following his departure from Sheffield United.

West Ham have also secured the signing of Wolves’ Max Kilman, who is set to bolster their defensive ranks.
