Harrow roadworks to begin during summer holidays

Harrow residents should anticipate several roadworks set to begin this week, potentially affecting traffic flows in and around the area. However, with the start of the summer holidays, the impact on daily commutes is expected to be less severe.

Starting from 23 July, Blawith Road will undergo roadworks until 25 July, managed by Transport for London.

Breakspear Road in Ruislip, under Hillingdon Council, will also have roadworks for a single day on 23 July.

In Pinner, Dewsbury Close will experience road closures from 24 July to 26 July for essential maintenance by Affinity Water. Similarly, Salisbury Road in Harrow will be closed from 23 July to 25 July for maintenance by the same company.

Honeypot Lane in Stanmore will see a lane closure from 24 July to 26 July, with Harrow Council overseeing the works.

Kenton Gardens in Kenton will be closed from 22 July to 29 July for works by UK Power Networks, while Sheepcote Road in Harrow will have lane closures from 23 July to 25 July due to maintenance by Affinity Water.

Additional road closures include Victor Road in Harrow on 22 July to 23 July, managed by Openreach, and Stonegrove in Edgware from 23 July to 1 August for resurfacing works by Barnet Council.

Station Road in Harrow will have two-way traffic signals on 23 July to 25 July for Virgin Media’s planned works, which could cause delays. On the same dates, Graham Road in Wealdstone will have traffic control measures in place.

In North Harrow, Greenfield Way and Holmdene Avenue will experience traffic control from 24 July to 26 July, with works managed by Openreach.

Locket Road in Wealdstone and Old Redding in Stanmore will also face traffic control measures on 23 July.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and be prepared for potential delays in the affected areas.
