The mother of missing Ben Ross issues the first statement after he was found alive

Benjamin Ross’ mother says she is “so relieved” to be reunited with her son after he was found alive. Ben, 26, a trainee solicitor from Golborne in Wigan, has been missing from Majorca since July 10 when his mother, Felix Robinson, lost contact with him.

However, the two met today at the British consulate in the city of Palma. He is said to have arrived there earlier today (Tuesday) “tired and exhausted but alive”.

He suffered a “series of unfortunate events”, including having his belongings stolen while he was going to the bathroom, his family said. Felix has now spoken and thanked the media and the public for their help in the search.
