Cornwall suffered their fourth straight defeat in League One as they went down 30-8 at home to Workington Town.

Jack Stephenson’s 14th-minute try for the visitors was canceled out two minutes later by Cameron Brown, but the Cumbrians hit back when JJ Key and Zarrin Galea made it 18-4 at half-time.

Jake Bradley made it 24-4 before Callum Abbott scored Cornwall’s first try with 25 minutes remaining.

But Grant Reid sealed victory on 13 minutes to see Workington go home from rugby league’s longest away trip with points.

Town move up to sixth in the table while Cornwall remain second from bottom with two wins from 14 games.
