International Summary | Carnduff captain England U20 to glory

Leicester Tigers were well represented on the international stage at the weekend.

ENGLAND U20 CLAIM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CROWN

From the back row on Friday night, Finn Carnduff became the first Leicester Tigers player to win the World Junior Championship captaincy as England U20s beat France 21-13.

Carnduff led from the front in his second season in the England set-up, capping off a season that began with a Six Nations win.

Scrum-half Ollie Allan was injured during that campaign, making his run in the new jersey at this month’s tournament that much more impressive.

Allan’s performance against Ireland in the semi-final was particularly eye-catching and the academy playmaker was again instrumental in the final.

Prop Cam Miell also played his part, coming on in the 73rd minute to help seal the win.
