Free tickets for Rave On Avon to help clubbers during the cost of living crisis

Organizers of Rave On Avon are offering a limited number of free tickets to both of its event venues this weekend to help clubbers in the current cost of living crisis. Rave On Avon, which is a non-profit organization, will be offering free tickets for entry before 5pm at both venues on a first-come, first-served basis.

Organizers say: “The current cost of living crisis is very real and has affected festivals and clubbers alike. We wanted to remain the best value and give something back to everyone who has supported us over the years. And really, a nod to our infamous Blue Mountain Day Off parties from back in the day.”

Rave On Avon, now somewhat of a veteran of Bristol’s music events scene, returns for its 14th year on Saturday 18th May at the new Boxing Hall in Easton and Lost Horizon in St Jude’s. Tickets for the general and final release are on sale now, priced between £12 and £15 each.

The line-up at the Boxing Gym on Clement Street includes the day’s headliners including ‘Drum and bass royalty’ DJ Storm and ‘Bristolian dubstep and footwork enthusiast’ Addison Groove, with support from Gallegos, Void & Budden , Thrilogy, Eminent’s Hywel Gregory and more.

The Lost Horizon line-up, meanwhile, sees a mix of house and techno acts, described as featuring “brands synonymous with Bristol’s rich dance music culture”, as well as new artists “foreseeing the way with progressive sounds”.
