Fresh CCTV footage released in search of two men after Bedworth arson attack

New CCTV footage has been released as police step up their hunt for two men after an arson attack in Bedworth. Some residents of Potlidgate Court had to be evacuated after a motorbike was set alight in The Mews and flames spread to the timber-clad flats.

Police have launched a number of appeals to find two men who were caught on camera near the scene, including a man with a “different” walk. These included some CCTV footage.

But now detectives have released more images, which show a car driving past the entrance to The Mews. Two men are then seen crossing the road opposite the fire station.

Investigating officers hope this will help them find the pair, one of whom was wearing a balaclava. “A previous CCTV appeal was issued on July 5 – new footage has now been made available which we have shared,” said a Warwickshire Police spokesman.

“If you recognize anyone in this recording, please let us know.”
