The new Manchester United 2024/25 home kit has ‘escaped’ with a major change

New ‘leaked’ images have emerged of Manchester United’s potential new 2024/25 home kit.

The new images claim to show the designs for next season’s shirt, although it should be pointed out that this is just a prediction of what the kit could look like based on leaked details about the direction Adidas are going. With it being the home kit, manufacturer Adidas will be kept in mind when designing the kits for next season.

If the club were to move away from the traditional red, it would undoubtedly cause anger among the fans. In recent weeks, the club’s kits have been leaked online, with the latest images varying slightly from what we’ve seen elsewhere.

That being said, MEN Sports took a close look at United’s latest ‘spoilt’ kit.

The home kit

The main change to the home kit will be the sponsor on the front of the shirt. United decided to part ways with TeamViewer last year, despite signing a five-year deal in 2021.

Both parties agreed to terminate their contract prematurely. The new arrangement with Snapdragon represents a significant increase on the club’s £47m-a-year contract with TeamViewer.

Snapdragon is part of Qualcomm Technologies, which is a global partner of United since 2022.

Confirming the deal, United said in a statement at the time: “Manchester United PLC has agreed to an expanded strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies Inc. which will see the Snapdragon branding displayed on the club’s famous shirts”.

As for the design of the kit, it is no surprise that it will incorporate the traditional red as the main colour. The shirt is matched with white shorts and red and white socks.

It differs slightly from an earlier version of the kit in that it fades to black and also lacks white lights on each side of the front.

In response to the images on X, a number of fans shared their thoughts. One said: “This can’t be our shirt next season,” before a second added: “It’s nice but it’s not the same as the dreams we sold.”

A third continued: “This is one for the streets. Iconic,” while another disagreed: “This is bad.”
