HOTEL Chocolat has applied for permission to sell alcohol at its first shop in the Bradford borough.

The luxury chocolatier this week applied for an alcohol license for 4 Brook Street – an empty property in Ilkley town center – next to Café Nero.

The company told the Telegraph & Argus that more details about the store will be announced in the coming weeks.

The license bid submitted to Bradford Council is for the “Sale of alcohol for on and off premises consumption Monday to Sunday between 7am and 10pm”.

People have until August 21 to comment on the app.

In addition to chocolates, Hotel Chocolat offers a range of chocolate-themed spirits and liqueurs.

The company opened its first store in London in 2004 and now has over 120 branches. Despite having several branches in Leeds, the company has no branches in the Bradford district.
