Several police vehicles descended on Braunstone Gate in the Westcotes area of Leicester this afternoon (Friday, July 26) following an armed robbery. A Leicestershire Police spokesman said officers were called at 11.27am.

An eyewitness at the scene said the police presence appeared to be “centered around” the AB Wallace/Ezee-Trophies store. However, this has not been confirmed by the force.
