Live as M62 drivers face delays after crash in Huddersfield

Drivers are facing delays on the M62 after a crash in Huddersfield.

Congestion built up near the crash site on the westbound carriageway at junction 23 to New Hey Road. Traffic was stopped at around 1.30pm on Friday 26 July. Traffic was stopped for about five minutes following the accident on the main highway.

Inrix traffic scanners said: “Slow traffic due to previous accident on M62 Westbound at J23 A640 New Hey Road (Huddersfield). Traffic was stopped for about five minutes.”

West Yorkshire Police have been approached for comment.
