Clearest Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 spy photos have been leaked online

Ahead of the launch, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 test mules (previously speculated to be called either the Scram 450 or the Roadster 450) were given a tour of the company’s facilities in Tamil Nadu. Recent images of the upcoming Guerilla 450 show the bike in peak clarity and it appears to be very close to production. Let’s take a look.

It emerges

India’s most successful and iconic classic bike manufacturer Royal Enfield has entered a new era of engineering capabilities with the launch of the Himalayan 450. This bike debuted with a capable new platform powered by a Sherpa 450 engine. the second part of the RE 450 saga will appear in the form of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450.

There have been several instances of Guerrilla 450 sightings over the past two years. Royal Enfield developed the Guerrilla 450 alongside the Himalayan 450. However, only the Himalayan 450 broke covers and the Guerrilla 450 is yet to.

Drivespark’s recent spy shots are some of the clearest and show off many new attributes that weren’t visible in previous spy shots. For starters, we can see a new fuel tank, which is different from the one we saw on the Himalayan 450. So the capacity is likely to be less than the 17L seen on the Himalayan 450.

There is enough camouflage on the bike to hide its identity. But the bike’s main frame and sub-frame are exposed and are almost identical to the Himalayan 450, minus the added structures to mount luggage, jackets and the like.

Component changes include RSU telescopic forks with skids, a roadster-style handlebar, a one-piece seat, along with smaller wheels than the Himalayan. These wheels, however, are alloy rims and are fitted with tubeless road tires. They are also fatter than Himalayan’s.

What to expect?

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is missing its front windshield and beak. The overall design fits the Roadster genre perfectly and is a nice looking car. The round ORVMs, round LED headlamps give it that requisite neo-retro look. Other cycle parts like the sleek swingarm and large disc brakes with dual-channel ABS are also seen on the Guerrilla 450.

Starting the bike, we have the same Sherpa 450 engine. This engine is the first from Royal Enfield to include modern engineering like DOHC 4V head and liquid cooling. The 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, ride-by-wire throttle and other attributes are firsts for any single-cylinder Royal Enfield as well.
