Highs today will reach around 88°F, with similar temperatures expected on Sunday and Monday.

According to the U.S. National Weather Service Wakefield, clouds will persist in North Carolina this morning, but all areas should see plenty of sunshine through the afternoon. Beachgoers should note a moderate rip current risk for Virginia Beach and OBX Currituck/Corolla today.

Looking ahead to the week, temperatures will remain consistent with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. Tuesday brings a light chance of rain with a 45% chance of showers, potentially providing a respite from the hot weather. The midweek forecast remains warm, with highs reaching 91°F on Thursday and 90°F on Friday.
