Nottingham Forest best and worst case scenario for key weeks of transfer window

Nottingham Forest’s approach in the first half of the transfer window has been careful and considered.

Some promising business was overseen, building on the core group Forest already had in place. Good, sensible signings have been made and supervised departures have been well thought out.

Last month’s accounting cap to comply with the Profitability and Sustainability Rules has created something of a mini transfer window for Premier League clubs. But August is generally when things really start to move — especially the closer it gets to the deadline on the 30th.

With a new month around the corner, the Reds still have a few final pieces of the puzzle to put together. Below, we take a look at the best- and worst-case scenarios for the rest of the window.

Best case scenario

The first half of the window set Forest up nicely for the rest of the summer. Five signatures have been made so far. Carlos Miguel, Elliot Anderson, Eric da Silva Moreira and Nikola Milenkovic were immediately included in Nuno’s squad, while Marko Stamenic will spend the season on loan at Olympiacos.
