Royal Enfield has been working on expanding its large bike portfolio by adding more 650cc bikes to the lineup. However, the brand seems to be simultaneously exploring opportunities to make bigger bikes. Recently at Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, the marque introduced a single custom 850cc adventure bike. This could be an indication that the brand could be working on a larger middleweight adventure bike to add to its portfolio.

The adventure bike shown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed was built in collaboration with David Gwyther of Death Spray Custom. The design takes you back in time as the design is inspired by the Dakar Rally racing bikes of the 1980s and 1990s. Specifically, Death Spray Customs took inspiration from the Honda Africa Twin and Yamaha Tenere manufactured between 1988 and 1991. According to them, they planned to make a modern bike with power figures and style from that era.

The adventure bike catches the eye with a pastel pink and purple paint scheme covering a modern-retro body. Additionally, the graphics on the bike are similar to the design used in the past. Many might say that the design bears similarities to the Ducati DesertX.
