The locations of West Yorkshire’s speed cameras were revealed this week

As usual, mobile speed cameras will be installed in several locations across West Yorkshire this week in a bid to catch speeding drivers and reduce the number of accidents on the region’s roads.

They are implemented by West Yorkshire Police on behalf of the West Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership. Rooms are located in Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield.

According to the Camera Partnership, the cameras work by pointing a laser at passing cars. Cameras are also installed in known casualty areas where accidents occur in an attempt to reduce them.
