Win a place in the prize race

The award-winning Ealing Half Marathon returns to the city’s streets and parks again this September – and we’ve got a race place and a hoodie to give away.

Up to 4,000 runners are expected, along with thousands of spectators, on Sunday 29 September 2024.

The race starts outside Walpole Park at 9am. The 13.1 mile route will then cover parts of Montpelier, Pitshanger and central areas of Ealing before reaching Hanwell and then returning to Ealing and Walpole Park via Uxbridge Road.

Enter or volunteer

If you want to guarantee your place at this year’s Ealing Half Marathon, entries were still being accepted when we published this article.

However, you don’t have to be a runner to get involved in this great event, as hundreds of volunteers are needed for the #EalingFeeling weekend. Each takes home a unique medal as a thank you and gets a free seat in the 2025 race.

If you would like to be one of the 700 volunteers and win a free place in next year’s race, register on the Ealing Half website.

Contest: how to enter

To be in with a chance of being the lucky reader who wins both the Ealing Half Marathon race place and the Ealing Half Marathon hoodie, simply answer the following question correctly by the deadline below.

In which Ealing park does the half marathon finish?

Email your answer entitled ‘EHM Competition’ to [email protected] by the deadline of Wednesday 21 August 2024 at 11.59pm. To take part, you must live in the London Borough of Ealing. Please include your postal address in your email for your entry to be considered and please also check the terms and conditions below. Your name may be used (as a nominated winner) in Around Ealing (website or magazine), social media or by the Ealing Half Marathon. We’d love to hear how you get on at the race.

Competition: terms and conditions

After the deadline, the winner will be digitally selected at random before being contacted. Only the winner will be notified. If the winner does not respond within 2 weeks or a similar time period considered reasonable/suitable for the competition prize, a new winner may be drawn at random and awarded the prize.

Your contact details will be used for the purpose of administering the competition and contacting the winner to notify them of the prize. And, if you are the winner, we may need to pass them on to the organisation/company/individual who is to provide you with the prize for you to claim it.

The entry deadline and the random selection of the winner are final and binding in all respects on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into.

Entries that do not fully comply with these terms and conditions of entry may be disqualified. If the winning entry is disqualified for any reason, the board reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.

There is no cash alternative to the prize. The Council assumes no liability on behalf of any third party providing the prize. Some third party provider terms and conditions may also apply.

Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by entering this competition.
