All parts of England that WILL NOT get a 32C heatwave this week – according to the Met Office

Just TWO parts of the UK will be spared the 32C heatwave this week – according to the Met Office. Britain’s Health Safety Agency has issued yellow heat health warnings for all of England except the North East and North West until Wednesday.

The UKHSA said hot weather can have “significant impacts” on health and social care. Temperatures are forecast to reach 30C in the capital on Monday and 32C on Tuesday, before dropping to 29C on Wednesday and Thursday.

The South East and London will be worst affected. Netweather TV explained: “Temperatures are forecast to be around 1°C above the long-term 1991-2020 normal in eastern Britain and perhaps 1.5°C above in some inland parts of east and south-east England , but west and north-west Britain will be less than 1°C above normal.”

The UKHSA recommends that during heatwaves, people look after vulnerable people, including children and the elderly, as well as those with underlying health conditions. People should close the curtains in rooms that face the sun, drink plenty of fluids, avoid physical exertion during the hottest times of the day, and stay out of the sun between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Netweather TV continued: “It is likely to be drier than normal across much of central, southern and eastern England, although there is some uncertainty about this due to the potential for thunderstorms later in the period of forecasting. NW Scotland is likely to be wetter. in general, other regions will see near or slightly below average rainfall.

“Total sunshine is likely to be not far from normal for most of the UK, although western Scotland and Northern Ireland have the potential to be quite dull if brighter weather does not settle firmly towards the end of the forecast period, where confidence is lower. above average sunshine is likely in most eastern counties”.
