‘Dangerous dog’ seized from home as police probe link to Harborne Park attack

Police have seized a dog following reports it was dangerously out of control in Birmingham. Officers found the dog at an address in Sycamore Road, Bournville, on Monday (May 13).

West Midlands Police said they are also investigating whether the same dog attacked another dog in Harborne’s Queens Park on May 5. The dog was taken to the secure kennel for evaluation.



The owner of the canine will be interviewed in due course, police added. Investigations were ongoing today.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “Yesterday, May 13, we seized a dog from an address in Sycamore Road, Birmingham, following reports of a dog being dangerously out of control. The dog was taken to the kennel for evaluation and the owner. we will talk in time.

“We are also investigating reports that the same dog attacked another dog on May 5 in Queens Park, Harborne. Inquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to get in touch via live chat, quoting crime reference 20/468326/24.”
