Dinner En Blanc is coming to Birmingham in September

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Le Diner en Blanc is coming to Birmingham on September 21 for its fifth anniversary edition.

To be part of the French picnic tradition, click here. There will be live entertainment, an evening of gourmet dining and dancing under the stars.

The requirements for participating in the event are below:

• Dress code: head to toe white only.
• Table setting: all white
• To ensure that the secret of the location is not revealed until the last minute, guests meet at the assigned departure location and are accompanied by a Diner en Blanc volunteer.
• Guests must leave with all belongings, leftovers and trash.

Guests are expected to bring the following:

• A table, two white chairs, white tablecloth.
• A picnic basket that includes fine food, matching tree pots and white tableware.
• A catered picnic basket option that can be picked up on site will be available for those who do not wish to pack their own.
• Per Birmingham, Alabama liquor laws, guests may not bring their own alcohol. Guests wishing to enjoy some wine or champagne must book online through the Le Diner en Blanc e-shop. However, guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.
