No team medal, but Joe Fraser is proud of his Olympic journey

Fraser and his teammates finished fourth in the team final for the third consecutive competition, losing to the USA in the Bercy Arena for bronze.

The 25-year-old was also part of the team that missed out on the podium in Tokyo three years ago. However, despite the disappointment, former Sandwell College student Fraser was proud to even be in Paris after battling through injuries which at one point last year put his future in doubt in this sport.

“I’ve definitely had moments in the last 12 months where I didn’t think I was going to come back, so even standing here today at my second Olympics, I’m proud of that,” said Fraser, who underwent foot surgery and shoulder in early 2023 and did not compete all year.
