Search and rescue teams flooded Calne after an elderly man went missing.

Robert is believed to have visited Tesco before he went missing in the town on Friday (July 26).

Police have been searching for the 82-year-old man since he was reported missing on Sunday (July 28).

Dozens of specially trained volunteers were seen searching Calne in an attempt to find Robert.

In a statement yesterday, Wiltshire Police said Robert was living with dementia – but the force has since confirmed this information is incorrect.

A spokesman said: “We are increasingly concerned for Robert’s welfare and are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to get in touch.

“If you can help, call 101 or 999 in an emergency and quote today’s log number 212 (28/7).”
