Casa Blanco secures prime city center site – JLL and Cushman & Wakefield

ITAustralian luxury furniture retailer Casa Blanco has made a bold design statement with its first move into the Queensland market.

The family business took a lease on a plot of 1112 square meters in Homemaker the Valley at 650 Wickham St with street exposure.

According to JLL office leasing executive Zac Hyams, who negotiated the deal with Cushman & Wakefield senior sales and leasing director Jack Neuman, part of the site’s appeal was its impeccable location.

“The team at Casa Blanco were very specific about how and where they wanted to launch in Brisbane,” said Mr. Hyams.

“They saw Fortitude Valley as the ideal location, noting its proximity to contemporary precincts such as James Street and the Gasworks, along with its ease of access.

“In Homemaker the Valley they found a site that enjoys an incredible position by virtue of the high volume of traffic passing through the junction with Ann Street and Skyring Terrace – day and night, weekdays and weekends.

“This also emphasized the importance signaling, which was an essential card in the transaction, while there is also plenty of parking.”

The entire construction site – with two floors and a mezzanine – was being renovated, with doors scheduled to open on August 1st.

For Casa Blanco co-founder Davin Glick, the Queensland track is critical to the company’s future success.

Over the past few years, as Brisbane’s population has continued to grow, we’ve seen a variety of high-profile local and international brands establish a real presence in the city.” said Mr. Glick.

“This has been complemented by an increasing sophistication in the city’s commercial and retail scene, characterized by the growth and popularity of precincts such as James St.

“With a track to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, there is a wide range of infrastructure projects that will bring about a significant transformation of the capital.

“We’re excited to be part of the city’s evolving story.”
