David Craig is stepping down as CEO of Sheffield’s Iceotope

Sheffield-based firm Iceotope, a global leader in precision liquid cooling technology, has announced the retirement of David Craig as CEO.

The company will be jointly led by Chief Commercial Officer Nathan Blom and Chief Financial Officer Simon Jesenko until his successor is appointed.

Craig will continue to advise the company and provide support during the transition period.

Craig joined Iceotope in June 2015. During his nine years at the helm, he helped build a company with a clear vision to design practical liquid cooling solutions to meet emerging challenges such as artificial intelligence, the edge distributed telecommunications, dense high-power computing and a sustainable data center. operations.

During this period it attracted an international consortium of investors including ABC Impact, British Patient Capital, Northern Gritstone, nVent and SDCL.

Its technology claims to eliminate almost 100% of the heat generated, reduce energy consumption by up to 40% and water consumption by up to 100%.

“The last nine years have been an amazing journey – we’ve built a fantastic team, developed a great IP portfolio and created the only liquid cooling solution that addresses the thermal and durability challenges facing the data center industry today and tomorrow” , Craig said.

“I enjoyed every moment and I have nothing but pride in the team, the company and the product.

“However, I feel now is the right time for me to step aside, enjoy my retirement and focus on other passions in my life, particularly my charity work in the UK and Africa. I look forward to seeing Iceotope’s future success and can’t wait to see what’s next.”

Blom has experience leading revenue and strategy at Fortune 500 companies, including Lenovo and HP. Jesenko is a DeepTech CFO with experience supporting private equity and venture capital-backed companies as they achieve hypergrowth.
