Taylor Swift fans have set up a fundraising page for families affected by a horrific attack in Southport in which two children were killed and nine others injured. Six children are in a critical condition and two adults were also seriously injured at a property on Hart Street on Monday.

At Hart Space, a pregnancy center, dozens of children gathered for a Taylor Swift-themed dance class. But soon after, terrified children fled the scene after a man, who was armed with a knife, entered the premises and began attacking those inside.

A 17-year-old boy, from Banks, Lancashire and originally from Cardiff, has been detained and continues to be questioned by police. Police said he is being held on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

The team behind The Eras Tour social media accounts shared a fundraising page created by two Taylor Swift fans who said they were working with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital to help raise money for families affected by the tragedy.
