Two Redcliffe roads will be closed until almost the end of the year

Two roads near Bristol city center will close until at least November. Ship Lane and Somerset Square, both in Redcliffe, will close to replace existing pipes in the Redcliffe area.

Ship Lane could be closed until December 2, according to One.Network, to “replace heating pipes”. Ship Lane will close between 27 and 33 while works take place.

Diversions will be in place throughout using the A38 Redcliff Hill. For drivers wishing to head south on Ship Lane, the diversion follows: Ship Lane, Prewett Street, A38 Redcliff Hill then the Bedminster Bridge roundabout and taking the A370 Clarence Road, Burton Close and onto Ship Lane.

The northbound diversion for Ship Lane follows Ship Lane, Burton Close, the A370 Clarence Road then to the Bedminster Bridge roundabout and the A38 Redcliff Hill exit. Motorists will then use the next roundabout near Redcliffe Wharf to return onto Redcliff Hill, onto Prewett Street and back onto Ship Lane.
