Liverpool ticket prices for Jurgen Klopp’s PLUMMET Anfield farewell

When Jurgen Klopp announced he would be leaving Liverpool, resellers were listing tickets for the club’s final Premier League game of the season against Wolves on May 19 for as much as £25,000 for seats behind the benches.

However, as Liverpool’s season comes to a disappointing end, tickets are now available with third parties for Klopp’s farewell at Anfield, with prices starting from £250.

Even the seats behind Klopp’s dugout have been discounted, with these tickets now priced at around £12,000.

The drop in demand perhaps illustrates a general sense of disappointment with the way the season has gone, with Liverpool’s trophy hopes extinguished for good.

When Klopp broke the news of his imminent departure in January, the Reds were still in the hunt for a quadruple.

Although they secured the Carabao Cup title against Chelsea in February, raising hopes of a fairytale end to the Klopp era, performances in other competitions have not lived up to expectations.

Liverpool exited the FA Cup at the quarter-final stage with Manchester United and fell at the same stage of the UEFA Europa League to Italian side Atalanta.

More disappointment followed in the Premier League as a string of poor results saw the Merseysiders tumble from title contenders to runners-up in just a matter of weeks.

Fans who were excited at the prospect of seeing Klopp lift the Premier League trophy at Anfield – this time in front of a packed stadium, as opposed to one suffering from Covid restrictions in 2020 – will not get their wish.

And as a result, prices have crashed for this unmissable one-time fix.

Liverpool ticket prices start from £9

Local general sale tickets – for those living in an L postcode – for Liverpool’s home games at Anfield start from £9, with prices going up to £60 for the 2023-24 season.

Prices will rise next season, a decision by the club which has met with considerable backlash from both matchday supporters and fan groups.

Any supporters wishing to say a final farewell to Klopp in person can also buy tickets to the ‘An Evening with Jurgen Klopp & Special Guests’ event on Tuesday 28 May at the M&S Bank Arena.
