Major live bus fire as services hit in Nuneaton and Coventry as main road closed

A major bus fire has hit services in Nuneaton with a major road closed. Police have warned that Hinckley Road in Barwell will be closed “for some time” following a bus fire.

The closure is between the A447 Ashby Road and St Marys Avenue. The fire is out, but the Arriva vehicle was badly damaged, as was the road itself.

Because of this, the road was closed. Stagecoach bus services in Nuneaton have also been affected following the incident.

This includes some services from Nuneaton to Coventry, according to Stagecoach posts on X, formerly known as Twitter. CoventryLive has approached Arriva for comment.
