Man rescued from Tyseley house fire as firefighters battle blaze

A man was rescued from a burning city property today. Firefighters battled the blaze in Tyseley just before midday.

West Midlands Fire Service said they responded to the fire on Roma Road. Two fire engines and two brigade 4×4 response vehicles from Hay Mills and Highgate stations rushed to the scene.




A man was rescued from the house. He was treated by paramedics for suspected smoke inhalation.

A fire service spokesman told BirminghamLive: “Just before 11.55am on Tuesday (July 30) we responded to Roma Road, Tyseley. Two fire engines and two 4×4 response vehicles from Hay Mills and Highgate stations responded, the first arriving within five minutes. to be mobilized.

“Crews on scene continue to tackle a property fire. One man was rescued from the home and received treatment by paramedics for suspected smoke inhalation. All others have been located. Firefighters have accessed the neighboring property to check the extent of the fire of the fire, but none was found.”
