15-year-old shot dead at gas station in Cleveland’s Collinwood-Nottingham neighborhood

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A 15-year-old Euclid teenager was fatally shot at a gas station Sunday in Cleveland’s Collinwood-Nottingham neighborhood.

Mendrell Johnson was injured around 8:45 p.m. at the Shell gas station at East 140th Street and Rugby Road, according to police and the Cuyahoga County Coroner’s Office.

Johnson was transported in a private vehicle to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

It is not known if any arrests have been made.
