Leeds United’s Championship fixtures change as Sky Sports announces early TV schedule

Leeds United have confirmed that 13 of their fixtures have been altered due to Sky Sports’ television selection.

The All Whites were chosen for broadcast on over 25 occasions during the 2023/24 campaign, a record total for the football club as a whole. Despite criticism from supporters and even Daniel Farke, it appears that Sky Sports and the EFL have again strongly selected Leeds for the upcoming 2024/25 term.

United’s trip to Norwich City on October 1 is set to be postponed due to a fixture clash, with a further 12 games already lined up to be shown in front of the Sky Sports cameras, including clashes with Sheffield United, Luton Town and Derby County.

“Leeds United can confirm the following fixture changes, with dates and times for the club’s fixtures confirmed up until the third round of the Emirates FA Cup in early January,” read a statement on the club’s website today.

The away trip to Sunderland on October 8 will now kick off at 8pm, with TV coverage for the game in the North East. The same can be said for the match against Sheffield United on October 18 at Elland Road, with another 8pm slot booked.

United’s clash with Bristol City, set for a 12.30pm kick-off at Ashton Gate, will be shown on Sky Sports+, the new channel designed to help fans catch up on multiple games taking place at the same time. Milwall’s trip to West Yorkshire is also set for a change, with a new date to be announced in the coming weeks.
