Nissan Ariya SUV review: Sleek EV, priced to sell but slow to charge.

  • The Nissan Ariya is a compact electric SUV that debuted in 2023.
  • I was impressed with the Ariya’s design, quiet and comfortable cabin, and competitive pricing.
  • I was disappointed with the slow loading rate and features that detract from the user experience.

You may not know, but Nissan is one of the best-selling electric vehicle brands in the world.

Since the launch of the revolutionary Leaf EV in 2010, Nissan has sold more than 1 million electric vehicles globally.

However, the EV landscape has become exponentially more competitive over the past decade.

In 2023, Nissan launched the Ariya SUV as a follow-up to the Leaf to compete with the plethora of new electric compact crossovers that have hit the market in recent years, such as the Volkswagen ID.4, Hyundai IONIQ5, Toyota BZ4X and Tesla Model Y.
